Tube and hose
To transfer aggressive fluids or gases, the tubes, pipes and hoses used in car engines or for the Chemical Process Industry (CPI) require specific performances that only a few materials can offer. To meet the demanding fuel line challenges of the automotive segment and the safety needed by CPI, DAIKIN proposes DAI-EL fluoroelastomers and NEOFLON fluoropolymers.
High-performance fuel line materials to reduce car emission standard
The severe competition between OEMs to meet regulations and the rise of ethanol-based fuel blends drive the car producers to focus on every detail likely to influence the emission levels and the fuel efficiency. In this purpose, specifying the right fuel line material significantly increases the lifetime and overall performance of the engine.
DAIKIN Fluoropolymer latest innovation in this field is NEOFLON CPT, Ultra-Low Permeation Barrier Material and Designs providing to OEMs:
- Low permeation
- Chemical resistance
- High-temperature resistance
Beyond the outstanding material properties, NEOFLON CPT has excellent processability features. Used in multilayer hose rubber/Fluoropolymer/Rubber system, it provides a double cost-efficient and exceptional high-temperature resistance. It eliminates extractable while offering a stable electrical resistance.
Fluoropolymer Tubes and pipes contribute to chemical process productivity
The manufacturing processes involving chemicals treatment, such as semicon or pharma are extremely demanding regarding performance and productivity. The pipes and tubes used to convey aggressive fluids are expected to limit contamination, increase release rate and last as long as possible. DAI-EL and NEOFLON range are the best options to offer tube manufacturers and their clients the opportunity to increase productivity. Parts service life is extended, inducing less replacement and maintenance.
The low coefficient of friction of fluoropolymers favors the fluid transfer. Because they are inert materials, they also reduce the risk of process contamination.
DAIKIN provides an extensive range of fluoropolymers and elastomers to serve the demanding expectations of tubes and hoses for automotive and chemical processing.
Turbo charger hose
A turbocharger is a used to improve the heat efficiency of an internal combustion engine. The hose which connects with the turbocharger is called a turbocharger hose. For air with high temperature and pressure to pass in the hose, fluoro material is used for the inner layer. The acid resistant function is also requested by EGR (exhaust recirculation).
Filler neck hose
A filler neck hose is the hose connected between a fuel tank cap and a fuel tank. For fuel to pass, the fluoro resin which has excellent low fuel permeability is used.
